Short version: no accounts, no cookies, no ad trackers. We count visits anonymously on our own analytics server.

Analytics

We use a self-hosted instance of Umami. It does not set cookies and does not collect personal information. It records page views and a few events (opening a topic page, clicking an outbound link, a search result count bucket, a form submission). Page addresses are recorded without query strings or fragments, and search words are never recorded. The data stays on our own server.

Outbound links

Links to listed tools go through 711bot.com/go/…, which redirects you to the destination and counts the click server-side. We send only the site origin as referrer.

Submit form

When you submit a resource we store the name, URL, category, optional topic, optional note and optional email for up to 90 days to review it. We do not store your IP address; a one-way hash of it is used for one hour to limit spam. Your email is used only to tell you a listing is live.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver it. See Cloudflare's own privacy policy for details.
